The Treccia Mochena (“Treccia” means braid) is a typical cake which recently became part of the tradition of Val dei Mocheni.
In the 1990s the Osler bakery invented this cake, similar to a strudel, based on recipes handed down orally for generations. It is filled with custard and blueberry compote, a combination to be savoured: the custard softens the pastry, and the blueberry with its acidity refreshes the palate, leaving a fresh and fragrant aroma in the mouth.
